QMAP is a time capsule of queer experience: an archive of mail art collected from LGBTQIA+ people around the world to be preserved, displayed, and ultimately revealed 100 years from now.

Each piece of mail is kept unopened and will remain sealed for a century. In 2125, the collection will begin to be opened, scanned, and made publicly accessible as a digital archive and physical exhibition. Until then, the works will be exhibited in their original sealed form, honoring the presence and the unknown of what's been sent.

Inspired by the Future Library in Oslo created by Katie Paterson, QMAP is a slow, intentional act of queer preservation for future generations. Anyone can participate. There is no curating and no barriers to participation. You can send writing, drawings, photos, and anything you can fit in an envelope.  Help us collect Queer history for our future.
